I was judged negatively…..the man was regarded as entertaining

I spoke on a panel with another lady and two men. It was boozy and opinionated.

One of the men and I disagreed with a lot of what the other lady said, and we all enjoyed a heavy but healthy debate.

Later, we put it all behind us and celebrated a great panel discussion. Until I found out that the female host had been speaking negatively about my behaviour with her colleagues and guests at the event.

Funny how my behaviour was judged negatively but the man who responded in the same way as me to the same points was regarded as entertaining.

Women must be on the side of women.

The host emailed me to apologise although blamed her actions on drinking too much and responding to guest feedback (all guests told me what a great time they had had so our understanding of feedback is very different).
